I suppose I was always going to be some sort of biologist

Nick Crumpton Isaac Lenkiewicz

A little while ago Becky Allen, the editor of the Cambridge University Newsletter, got in touch. She’d heard about Triassic Terrors and thought this was the perfect opportunity for her to include a graphic story in the magazine. I wrote a short script of my voyage into biology and then my involvement with Flying Eye Books and Isaac Lenkiewicz did an amazing job at making it beautiful.

There’s something a bit lovely about the fact that every member of staff in the University might be pouring over a comic whilst they’re sitting at their high tables, drinking their port and being all dreadfully serious and academic – although there’s nothing about graphic novels that predisposes them away from difficult, weighty material (see, for instance, Nobrow’s Neurocomic and Freud).

You can see the whole comic here.
